P.R.O.B.E. - DVDs

P.R.O.B.E. = Preternatural Research Bureau, a UK government organisation created to investigate “unusual” happenings (ie supernatural), featuring the character of Dr Liz Shaw - companion in the 3rd Doctor’s first season of TV stories - after she left UNIT. This series of stand-alone independent video dramas also featured a number of leading actors from the original Doctor Who TV series, plus people later seen in The League Of Gentlemen. Originally released on video by Reeltime Pictures during 1994-1996 and later re-issued on DVD by BBV in 2012.

The Stranger - DVDs

A series of stories featuring Colin Baker (the sixth Doctor) in the lead role. These have no direct connection to Doctor Who, despite some characters initially appearing to be nothing more than characters from the TV series which had been re-named to avoid BBC copyright issues. As the stories progressed it became clear that The Stranger bore no resemblance to The Doctor, although several regular actors from the original TV series did feature in these stories. This series features a character who has travelled in time & space and lost track of who he is, but through the course of these stories he re-discovers his identity & purpose. Originally released on video by Reeltime Pictures during 1991-1995 and later re-issued on DVD (with extra features) by BBV through 2005-2007. There were also two other CD-only stories released by BBV in 1999 which complete the series.
