Timelords - KLF

The KLF - aka Kopyright Liberation Front - was a UK musical unit consisting of Bill Drummond and Jim Cauty, who worked from 1987 until 1993. Their music consisted of extensive sampling of pre-recorded classics, re-worked over a techno backing track with added vocal effects. Very simple but surprisingly effective. They adopted the temporary name of The Timelords for the releases described here. Also known as The JAMMS (Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu) on some of their other releases.

Who Cares

WHO CARES was a one-off studio project put together by Ian Levine, to protest the cancellation of the 1985 season of the TV series. Amongst the all-star cast who sang were Anthony Ainley, Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant and Nicholas Courtney from "Doctor Who", plus members of BUCKS FIZZ, HOT GOSSIP, MATT BIANCO, The MOODY BLUES, MUSIC ACADEMY, STARLIGHT EXPRESS and ULTRAVOX.
