Gavin Ryan has compiled a series of books summarising Australian music charts, both nationally and for major Australian cities. They alphanetically list every song that hit the singles charts in each city, by title and artist. Cities so far covered are Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The Hobart volume should be out some time in 2010. Maybe. He's also compiled a book covering the national ARIA charts for singles and is working on a follow up for the national albums charts, which will also hopefully appear in 2010. ARIA = Australian Recording Industry Association, a sort of "trade union" for major record companies. 26 February 2010 - the Melbourne and Sydney Chart Books are currently out of stock, but more copies should be received soon.
